It's Friday At LAST!

That's what people with nine-to-five jobs say every time Friday rolls around, as if it didn't come every week.
Yes, Friday! Meaning the coming of Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. Days of untold splendor, relaxation, depth.

But is this really so?

No! Not for the coffee man! Hello, this is Andy Petal here, filling in for Bob (he's got a bit of a head cold).

No, it is a sad story for the coffee man. His wonderful, hard-working wife comes home looking forward to the untold splendors of Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday...but can she look forward to spending it with her adoring, coffee-serving husband? No. For despite all efforts to orchestrate it otherwise, he must work Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. For his weekend has already been committed to the serving of everyone's favorite beverage.

So friends, when you buy a cup of the best this weekend, driving your expensive car, and wearing your fancy nine-to-five shoes, take a look at the coffee man or woman serving you. Their arms covered in syrup, their hands marked with pen, their sleeves spattered with mocha, their scent of over-warm milk, and their teeth--cracking the most genuine smile they can muster. You may even spy their significant other devotedly sipping a beverage in the corner, catching sly glances from their coffee person every half hour or so. But the splendor, the relaxation, the depth? From the coffee man, it's in your cup.

Best!
Mr. Bob c/o Andy Petal, barista.
